Study Department will be closed on  Friday 28.09.2007 (bank holiday)
and Friday 05.10.2007 (graduation and imatriculation ceremony).

Compulsory Optional Courses 2007/2008, 3rd and 4th year

Dear students 3rd and 4th study year, we offer you Compulsory Optional Courses in academic year 2007/2008. You can enrol to course by email or during your enrolment to your study at study department. Do not forget, capacity of courses are limited!

For new students

The registration to the first study year will take place on September 12, 2007 (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m. in the Syllabova lecture hall, ground floor at the Faculty (address: Ruská str. 87, Praha 10). The academic year 2007/2008 starts October 1, 2007.

Before starting the fall semester of the first study year the students will take an intensive 10 days course (13.9. – 27.9. 2007) of the Czech language organised by the Faculty. The price of the books for the course is 900,-CZK ( the payment in cash by the enrollment) The purpose of this course is to facilitate the student‘s basic communication with Czech people in everyday life. Solemn Matriculation Oath for the 1st year students will be held on October 5, 2007.

Dean’s order no. 14/2007 on exam dates during the summer holidays

  1. During the summer holiday’s exams can be taken upon the joint approval of the teacher and the student.
  2. A requirement of this agreement must be made in written form by the student for the exam.
  3. The application form on the approved exam date must be made on the form that is available on our web pages (in the area „Forms“) or at the Study Division. The application form is then submitted to the appropriate department, clinic or division where the exam is to take place.
  4. Upon completing the exam, the application form is submitted to the study division with records from the exam.

Required preventive vaccination againts viral Hepatitis B

Due to Dean ´s order No.4/2005 Required preventive vaccination againts viral Hepatitis B
It is compulsory for all students to have completed the vaccination againts hepatitis B by the end of March 31,2007! (with an exception to those that had disease or have a sufficient amount of antibodies againts HbsAg higher than 10 IU/I.)

We need for control: a photocopy of the vaccination Pass or written proof of the health clinic using the "Certificate of Vaccination"

It is time for your index also check up. Please, bring it to the study department.

Health care for students

Foreign students should arrange for a health insurance covering the duration of their study at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. The insurance policy can be arranged either in their own home country or in the Czech Republic at the beginning of study.
